Meet Our Expert Team
Dedicated professionals bringing decades of crisis intervention experience and social work expertise to support communities across the United States
Dr. Michael Richardson
Director of Crisis Intervention Programs
With over 15 years in crisis counseling and emergency response coordination, Dr. Richardson has developed innovative training protocols now used by organizations nationwide. He holds certifications in Critical Incident Stress Management and has personally trained more than 2,000 social workers since joining Usanetwrk in 2020. His research on rapid response techniques has been published in three major social work journals, and he continues to refine our crisis intervention methodologies based on real-world feedback from field practitioners.
Our Collaborative Philosophy
We believe effective crisis intervention happens when experienced professionals work together, sharing knowledge and supporting each other through challenging situations. That's why our team structure emphasizes peer consultation and continuous learning rather than isolated practice.
Every member of our team participates in weekly case review sessions where we discuss complex situations, share successful interventions, and learn from difficult cases. This approach has proven invaluable – especially when dealing with multi-faceted crises that require diverse expertise.
Our team includes licensed clinical social workers, certified crisis counselors, community outreach specialists, and program coordinators who work across different regions of the United States. What unites us is a commitment to evidence-based practice and a genuine understanding that crisis work requires both professional competence and human compassion.
Areas of Specialized Expertise
Crisis Assessment & De-escalation
Our team includes specialists trained in rapid risk assessment, suicide prevention protocols, and verbal de-escalation techniques. We've handled over 3,500 crisis calls since 2022 and maintain response protocols for both individual and community-wide emergencies.
Community Trauma Response
When communities experience collective trauma – natural disasters, workplace incidents, or community violence – our team deploys coordinated response strategies. We've supported recovery efforts in 12 states and developed community resilience programs now used by local agencies nationwide.
Professional Training & Development
Beyond direct service, our team creates and delivers professional development programs for social workers, first responders, and community organizations. Our 2025 training calendar includes 18 workshops covering everything from ethical decision-making in crisis situations to building sustainable support networks.
Research & Program Evaluation
We continuously evaluate our interventions and contribute to the broader knowledge base in crisis intervention. Our team publishes annual outcome reports and collaborates with universities on research projects that inform best practices in the field.
